
Kathy Garrett
Programme Manager
Kathy has spent much of her career supporting people to build confidence, skills, and pathways into employment and further opportunities. With extensive experience in programme coordination, facilitation, and leadership, she brings a strong people-first approach to her role and is passionate about creating positive learning environments where individuals feel supported to succeed.
Before joining Aspire2 Workplace Communication, Kathy worked across the non-profit and education sectors, leading nationwide programmes, supporting facilitators and volunteers, and building strong relationships with schools, community organisations, and employers throughout New Zealand. Her experience includes programme management, adult training, employment support, and workplace facilitation, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by diverse learners and workplaces.
Kathy has a Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University in California and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton. She has also completed further training in assessment practice, Te Ao Māori, and trauma-informed approaches to learning and engagement.
She particularly enjoys building rapport with learners and clients and believes that meaningful learning happens when people feel safe, valued, and encouraged. Her positive outlook, strong communication skills, and genuine passion for helping others continue to drive her commitment to workplace education and learner success.
